Manchester, New Hampshire Photographer

I am not one for words. Particularly for writing about myself. I am an observer. I love to document life; moments—to be able to look back and touch them, as if they never passed. There is something so special about living in moments; each day, every day. Close your eyes and just be present. My job as a photographer is to capture, and bring back those moments, to remember those feelings.

Details are my favorite: The stray hair dancing in a summer breeze; the way the sunlight catches your daughter’s eyes; the warmth of a gentle touch. They may be only pieces, but they evoke feelings and capture the essence of the story.

Every day I am inspired by the world around me. I love light, and the way it transforms a time or place. No two seconds are the same—this to me is fascinating, albeit slightly unnerving. It serves as a constant reminder of how short time really is and, for me, stresses the desire to continue documenting life.

I struggle with perfection. Every last detail must align—my biggest fault, but also something I dearly embrace, as each photograph becomes a work of art.

For me, photography is a craft. Real people, real moments. I strive to capture my subjects and tell their story in the most natural and honest way I can.

And finally: cats. I have a deep obsession for felines—perhaps even deeper than that for the equine, but I suppose a little cat hair on my clothes can’t hurt.

So this is me.

I am Jennifer Fisher. I am an artist; a photographer; and a storyteller.
